Social Spark sought to improve health and wellbeing in the Basildon area. It brought together residents, community organisations, health and social care practitioners, ARU staff and students to tackle health inequality. The project aimed to make Basildon a place where new ideas could grow into long term solutions, reducing demand on services and giving people the ability to make healthy choices. The development of networks in Basildon and the surrounding area helped make this a reality and has ensured the long term success of this project.
